At Antoinette's for breakfast

Both the wife and I have been putting in a lot of hours at work last week. This week doesn't look much better. We're tired, cranky and seriously craving good food. Figured that if we take care of that last detail, things will spiral back upwards to uplift our spirits again. And that explains why we are at Antoinette's having brekkie instead of... somewhere else.

The eggs Florentine was a good choice. Served with Hollandaise sauce on finely sliced Serrano ham on a slab of dark bread, it was the pick-me-up I was looking for. While the ham sent a salty kick upside the head, the egg yolks were a glorious mouthful that burst into a river of molten gold, warmly flowing down the gullet and coating the stomach wall with comfort and reassurance. Lovely...!
