A tumble

Dropped in to see Mom. She'd taken a tumble down some stairs over the weekend. She said it was because she was stumbling around in the dark. It's what happens when you've lived in the same place for so long, you don't think you need to switch on the lights any more to navigate your way around. But a moment of inattention later, an accident occurs.

Good to see her cheerful, alert and recuperating at home. And her sense of humour is still intact. Although there's a big bump on her head, there's no concussion. However, her arm is in a cast for a suspected hairline fracture in her wrist.

It's that time of life when we start worrying about our old folks.
